KEPW Mission Statement
KEPW 97.3 FM is listener supported community radio station in Eugene, Oregon. This low-powered station is an ongoing project of Eugene PeaceWorks, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide a listener-supported on-air forum for artists, activists, and others whose voices have been marginalized or excluded from the airwaves. Seniors, women, children, teenagers, people of color, the homeless, and the LBGT communities, among others, will host and produce a wide variety of humanity enhancing programs. The station will feature local performing artists on a regular basis. KEPW’s news and public affairs department will emphasize reporting local events from throughout our listening area. Interviews with people participating in these events will be broadcast live on a consistent basis. Imagine a radio station shaped by diverse community members. Imagine hearing innovative stories from the streets, office buildings and homes of Lane County brought to you by the people living here. This is the mission and vision of KEPW 97.3 FM, Homegrown Community Radio.
Providing a progressive space, on and off the air, where "No voice is left unheard".
