We do traditional dances from around the world along with newly choreographed dances to a variety of world music. Dances range from slow and meditative to quite lively. No partner or special dance experience is needed. Beginners are welcome. Circle Dance can be a path to joy, awareness, healing and creating community. Also known as Sacred Dance, it was birthed at Findhorn, a spiritual community in Scotland.
Location: Denbaya Drum & Dance studio at 1325 Jefferson St. just south of 13th on the east side of Jefferson, a beautifully converted garage on the right side of the driveway behind the front house.
No street shoes are permitted on the floor, so bring clean-soled, non-marking dance shoes or bare feet.
Donations accepted to defray the cost of renting the space.
We dance twice a month on 1st and 3th Sunday evenings.
We will note exceptions.
